~REVIEW~Love & Decay (Episode 4) by Rachel Higginson

Love and Decay, Episode Four

Episode #4

goodreads-badge-add-plusZ ombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after.
Haley Gable has been on the run from Zombies and other evils for almost two years. She is exhausted, cynical and bored. Her overactive brain is ticking away at her sanity and the endless struggle for survival ahead of her seems overwhelming.

Until she meets the Parker brothers.

Now traveling in company with five overprotective brothers and a little girl that has completely stolen her heart, Haley finally feels a breath of relief.

That is until Nelson, the middle brother, decides that Haley is exactly the girl he’s been waiting for.

Panicked by the idea of love and confused about what kind of future any relationship could possibly have when surrounded daily by the looming threat of death, Haley avoids Nelson and all his advances.

When the group finds a solar powered farmhouse, Haley’s defenses are down in light of such an exciting thing as electricity and Nelson takes the opportunity to pursue her. Caught up in Nelson’s charm, Haley has trouble resisting him and everything he offers her.

A temporary fling doesn’t sound so bad, but what Nelson wants from her is something so much stronger than casual, so much deeper than anything she’s ever felt before. Nelson wants all of Haley, every last part. But can she give up her fear and doubt and give him a chance? Will he turn her world of decay into something made of love and hope?

Love and Decay, Episode Four, is the fourth in a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.

EPISODE #4 REVIEW

Anyone that has been reading the Love & Decay series has come to meet all of the key players. Well in episode 4 Rachel treats us with a Haley POV. And what a delightful POV it was!

It has been two months since Reagan and Haley have teamed up with the Parker family. And we have seen the obstacles that have been thrown their way through Reagans eyes but Haley shares a different view.

Living a life of decay for two years has given Haley a new perspective on life. Once the popular cheerleader Haley is now kicking ass and trying to live day by day. But meeting the Parkers brothers, one in particular, has also given her the hope for finding something like else. Love. Or at least some semblance of it. No matter how she tries to fight it her growing feelings for Nelson cannot be denied.
Nelson. *sigh* Holy hell if i thought Hendrix was the only guy capable of making me swoon in this story I was totally wrong! Nelson is packaged in sweet, overbearing, loving, and intensity all in one! His feelings for Haley cant be denied anymore and he is intent on showing her that she is HIS. With his sweet gestures and intense feelings he will wrap you around his finger as much as he has Haley.

But although we get so much love in this episode we are also lead into a big dilemma. Page becomes sick and their is no medicine. Which leads to the major cliffhanger Rachel is torturing us with!

Buy this and join the zombieventure!

MY REVIEW
"If you have a soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. Whatever the color, the shape, the design of the shade that conceals it, the flame inside the lamp remains the same. You are that flame."

Clockwork Angel starts with Tessa Grey on her way to reunite with her brother after her aunt's death. But when she arrives and the Black sisters promise to take her to her brother, Tessa's world changes forever.

Forced to learn how to use her newly discovered power is what her existence consist of until her "knight" in shining shadow gear saves her. A "knight" that will later turn out to by a Shadowhunter. A nephilim who is in charge of protecting the humans against evil. Tessa is introduced to the world of Shadowhunters, Downworlders, The Clave and many more creatures she never knew existed.

Set on searching for her brother Tessa agrees to help the Shadowhunters find the villain who is killing innocent humans and are creating evil automatons. Throughout her search for her brother she learns to harness her power and her strength and will, which is tested many times. Sometimes by the evil surrounding her and others by the residents of the Institute of London.

Charlotte and Henry, who run the institute. Jessamine who is snotty and rude and wants to escape the world she was born too. Jem the sweet guy that shows her nothing but compassion but is dealt a sad hand in life. And Will, the jerk that tests her patience everyday and makes her feel everything at once.
During Clockwork Angel you will laugh, frown, yell and will fall in love. But most of all you will crave for MORE.

More of Tessa's heritage. More of Will's story and cheekiness. More of Jem's compassion and sweetness. More action. More loveable characters. But most of all more of Tessa and Will's romance!

Read this! Cassandra does not disappoint! She will set you on an adventure that will keep you turning page after page until the very end.

REVIEW: Love & Decay, Episode 1 by Rachel Higginson

Love and Decay, Episode One

Episode #1:

Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after.

Reagan said goodbye to love when she was forced to run her high school boyfriend over with her mom’s car just to keep him from eating her for dinner. Now, two years later, and in need of a serious shower, she’s just over the entire concept of a soul mate- or really, any kind of mate.

Well, mostly anyway. When she runs- literally- into a group of boys holed up in a relative utopia of peanut butter and bottled water, maybe all hope in the love department is not lost.

But at the end of the world, nothing can be simple. And with a horde of Zombies after her, Reagan is going to have to schedule falling in love between hunting and surviving. Hopefully she can last long enough find out if true love can still exist when everything else has started to fall apart.goodreads-badge-add-plus

Love and Decay, Episode One, the first in a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.
This story takes place over multiple episodes, with a release date every two weeks.
EPISODE #1 REVIEW:
"Things would be exciting in this world of love and decay."

Having a possible cure turn everyone into zombies was not what Reagan thought would be the story of her life. She pictured something like having the perfect life with a picture perfect future. But two years later she is kicking zombie ass with her bestfriend, Hayley, instead of attending college. And when the two raid a department store and are cornered by zombies Reagan and Hayley are set on surviving.

Cue the brothers that come to the rescue!

Hendrix, Vaughn, King, Nelson, Harrison, and little Page are surviving in the zombie infested world, just as the girls are. When Reagan literally stumbles into their hiding place the brothers are at first hesitant. But when Hendrix is sized up by Reagan and her witty comebacks and the others feel an obligation to protect them, they quickly become allies.

Together they continue fighting off zombies and begin their journey South, where they hope to get away from the zombie infestation.

You will love every character in this book and will dread what might be coming in future books. I couldn’t help but quickly feel sad that something terrible might happen to any of them! Here’s hoping to some more kick ass action, romance and no losses.

Episode 1 of Love & Decay will quickly enrapture you and have you turning page after page. Rachel Higginson does not disappoint with this Zombie Dystopian world romance! I’m looking forward to episode 2 coming on July 26th!

So go ahead and buy episode one and continue this amazing zombie adventure with me!

goodreads-badge-add-plus

My Review
“I was afraid I had nothing to give. But I do. And I want to give it all to you.”

Alexa McKenzie is an independent hardworking bookstore owner. She doesn’t have a privileged life and works hard to support herself and help her family. But Alexa is lonely and wishes to have a loving husband and family.  Alexa is in need of a man that meets her criteria AND has a bonus $150,000 to give.

Nick Ryan is a hardworking Architect who doesn’t believe in attachments. He works hard for what he has accomplished. But his Uncle has different plans for him. When he passes, Nick is obligated to find a wife in order to inherit the family business.

So Alexa and Nick go into “business”. They expect a year to fly by with just the possibility of a friendship rekindled. But what ensues is a marriage that involves more than friendship.

Alexa is one feisty protag. She does not put up with Nick’s aloof and ruthless manners. She does agree to be his meal ticket but expects to be treated with respect.  She sticks to her beliefs, she works to crack Nick’s stoic personality and she works to not fall in love with a man that is not willing to reciprocate those feelings. Alexa and her wit will have you smiling and laughing out loud throughout this whole story. I was happy that she wasn’t weak and she stuck to her guns.

Nick doesn’t want to deal with a woman that wants anything more then maybe sex. He doesn’t believe in marriage, children or love. He fights to keep Alexa at arm’s length and to show her that he cannot be controlled. But Nick does have a need, and Alexa tempts him in every way. Nick and his stubbornness will have you frustrated and break your heart.

The secondary characters are just as wonderful and integral to the story. We also get a look into the beginning relationship of the couple featured in the next book.

The Marriage Bargain will have you feeling every emotion there is to a wonderful romance.

Do not miss out on this book!

Buy it. Read it. Love it.
