Delia is the daughter of a Senator that is just as pompous and overbearing as anyone would imagine. Her life is all set out for her and she has no choice but to accept that fact. It is why she and Tobin could never be.
Tobin is your typical party boy. He and his brother are as thick as thieves. They live in the moment and live a carefree life. Because of his life, he knows that he will never be enough for Delia.
When they meet both Delia and Tobin aren’t prepared to finally give themselves over to each other. Their relationship was all about bargaining. A kiss for a kiss, a broken heart for a broken heart…
When tragedy strikes Tobin’s life he must finally come face to face with the one girl that once held his heart and broke it. And Delia must return home and deal with the heartache she once drove away from.
As Delia and Tobin are thrown together they will have to finally face what they so long ago destroyed.
Will these two finally clear up their mistakes? Or will they both lose each other?
This book was a very quick read. I liked it but wasn’t fascinated by it. The storyline was good but unfortunately that can only go so far. The characters were bland and had no depth at all. The story takes place in the future with flashbacks to the past. That is what most of the book consist of. I rushed through this because I did want to finish it. I wanted to find out what drove Delia and Tobin apart and when you do it makes you wish that the characters were more believable. It was a topic that could have been broached more in depth.
My Heart for Yours is a good read but it wasn’t a book that I would probably read again.
