Bittersweet

Book Information:

As a widow at twenty-six, Zoe isn't looking for love. She's just looking for the energy to get through the next day and take care of her infant son. She might have to deal with Adam, her husband's cousin and business partner, but she doesn't have to like it. She doesn't have to like him.

MY REVIEW
“I can’t guarantee anything except I’ll be here for you every moment I’m alive.”
Zoe and Adam were on their way to becoming great friends. Although she would have liked it to be more than friend, Adam never pursued anything else. So when Josh, Adam's cousin, shows interest in her, she doesn't think anything about it.

Years later Josh loses his fight to cancer. Now Zoe is alone with Logan, her 8 month old son, and doesn't have a clue on what to do with her life. When Adam offers to help Zoe with running her husband's company and with Logan she doesn't want anything to do with him. Adam isn't the same guy that she once knew.

But she needs the help and he is offering.

So while helping her Adam and Zoe start to repair their friendship. But when the line of friendship blurs into something more, Zoe runs for the hills. She isn't ready to accept the loss of her husband and she definitely isn't ready to having feelings for his cousin. So Adam does what he has always done which is love her in silence. He would do anything to protect them and be in their lives. He is patient when Zoe needs time to grieve and needs time to come to terms with her ability to love again.

Though I did enjoy this story I also thought that it was stretched out too long.  Zoe took a long time to open up to Adam and even then I didn't feel the connection between them. I did see Adam's love for her and knew that he loved her for a long time but on Zoe's end I didn't feel her love for him at all. When I got to the last page I closed the book with a little disappointment.

This story of friendship, love, lost and finding love again is a quick and sweet read..

Buy this. Read it. Enjoy it.

HAPPY READING!
