Book Information:
Leave it to Maryah Woodsen to break the one rule that will screw up eternity: Never erase your memories.
Before entering this life, Maryah did the unthinkable—she erased. Now, at seventeen years old, she’s clueless that her new adoptive family has known her for centuries, that they are perpetually reincarnated souls, and that they have supernatural abilities. Oh, and she's supposed to love (not despise) Nathan, the green-eyed daredevil who saved her life.
Nathan is convinced his family’s plan to spark Maryah's memory is hopeless, but his love for her is undying. After spending (and remembering) so many lifetimes together, being around an empty version of his soulmate is heart shattering. He hates acting like a stalker, but has no choice because the evil outcast who murdered
Maryah in their last lifetime is still after her.
While Maryah’s hunter inches closer, she and Nathan make assumptions and hide secrets that rip them further apart. Maryah has to believe in the magic within her, Nathan must have faith in the power of their love, and both need to grasp onto the truth before they lose each other forever—and discover just how lonely eternity can be.

MY REVIEW
"Are my eyes not fit to watch over her?"
Dylan stepped towards us. "It's not that, we don't think-"
Nathan didn't let him finish. "I am forever grateful to all of you." He glanced around the room making deliberate eye contact with each person. "However, none of you have any comprehension of my emotions right now. It is my divine right to have time alone with her.”
Grasping at Eternity starts off with a tragedy. The type that will have you sitting on the end of your seat. The one that will change Maryah's life forever...
The only family Maryah has ever known is taken away from her as she is left dying on a dock. That is when her "angel of death" comes to the rescue and saves her from death. Two weeks later Maryah is better and is sent to live with her godmother, Louise Luna. A lady she has never met in her life but that welcomes her with open arms.
The moment that Maryah sets foot in Louise's house weird things start to happen. Every time she sleeps she dreams of her angel as if he were with her, when there's an accident she sees things and believes that she is hallucinating, her headaches get worse, and her cousin Krista seems to be close with the family. But the most weird is when her "angel of death" turns out to be none other than Louise's son, Nathaniel. The beautiful man that stirs feelings in her she has never felt. At first, anger and terror, but later, adoration and love.
“If you love someone, put their name in a circle; because hearts can be
broken, but circles never end.”
When the family reveals their secret to her Maryah doesn't know what to feel or what to do. The only person to turn to is River. The guy that is totally crazy but that is her friend and relates to her like her new family doesn't.
But Nathaniel and her Kindrily aren't only worried about River, they are worried about the man that is after Maryah. One that wants her power and is determined to find her and kill her and her entire Kindrily.
Told from alternating POV's we see Maryah's journey in struggling with the loss of the only family she knows, gaining a group of people that love her, and discovering the truth about who she is. During her struggle to remember who she is and try and recover her powers we also see Nathaniel's pain in not being able to be close to his soul-mate and dealing with her erasure of their past.
These two will have you laughing one moment, crying the next and anxiously awaiting for their HEA. A love like theirs is one for the books.
But Nathaniel and Maryah aren't the only ones that make this book amazing. We are also graced with a cast of exceptional secondary characters! The Luna "family" is amazing and each one quickly boroughs themselves into your heart. Their love and devotion to each other is amazing!
I cannot gush enough about this book! Pick up this book as well as book 2 and get ready for an epic love story and an adventure!
